Diet Whey is a whey protein concentrate. It is almost the same as regular whey protein powders but it is typically lower in calories and sugars. Whilst it is typically lower in calories and sugars, low-cal whey does not lose out on any of the taste you get and it still has the same levels of protein in it as the normal ones.
Why Should I Use a Diet Whey?
- Lower calorie
- Lower Sugars
- Same Protein
- Same Taste
If you’re someone who is wanting to count the calories then diet whey is for you. A normal whey protein can be around 140 calories per serving, whereas a low-calorie whey can be below 95 calories. Whilst 45 calories may not seem a lot, if you have a shake a day you could be saving over 300 calories a week – a full meals worth.
What Diet Whey’s Are There?
We have three firm favourites here at SS Healthfoods.
We actually wrote an article comparing two low-calorie wheys by PHD & USN. They are both high in protein whilst being low in calories and sugar, making them brilliant to reduce body fat and promote weight loss. They are also good at building lean muscle, which again aids weight loss and body fat reduction.\
So, if you’re looking for a good lower-calorie whey then come look at our extended range here at SS Healthfoods.
