Ingredients

  • 125g Doves Farm Plain White Flour
  • Egg Replacer (equivalent to 1 egg)
  • 250ml almond milk
  • Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 35g of Vegan Protein Powder (optional)

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Frying/Crepe Pan

How To Make A Delicious, Vegan Pancake

STEP 1

Firstly, place the flour into a bowl and make a little hole in the centre. Then you want to add your egg replacer and a quarter of the milk. If you’ve chosen to add protein powder in, place the powder in at the same time as the flour.

STEP 2

Thoroughly whisk the mixture. We recommend using an electric whisk, but mixing it with a spoon is fine too, it just takes a bit longer. You then want to add in another quarter of the milk and whisk again. Once the mixture is free of lumps, add the rest of the milk in and whisk once again.

STEP 3

This step is optional. It’s preferable to leave the mixture to sit for 20 minutes to make sure it’s nice and smooth, ready for frying. However, it is not imperative you do this and you can skip this step if you’re short on time.

STEP 4

Now, it’s time to fry! Heat a frying pan with a bit of coconut oil then pour some of the mixture into the ban and coat it around the base. Be careful to not add too much or our pancakes will be too thick!

STEP 5

You want to cook the pancake for 1-2 minutes each side, or until the layer is golden brown. Then flip the pancake on the other side. Once the pancake is cooked, we recommend placing it in a warm oven so you can serve them all at once still warm.

STEP 6

Fry the remaining pancakes using Step 5’s method until the mixture is all gone, placing each cooked pancake in the warm oven

STEP 7

Now it’s time to decorate. We recommend using maple syrup or fresh fruit! However, if you opted for the protein pancakes, sprinkle a bit of powder on for extra flavour if you’re using a flavoured protein.
